The way I went about it ('68 145):

Use the original runners. Take 240 seats off runners.
The 140 runners will fit the 240 seats if you widen some of the holes a few
tenth of an inch (I'm referring to the 4 holes in the seat that accept the 4 bolts from the runners). There won't be enough room to operate the height adjustment mechanism. I basically took an angle grinder and ground off part of the 3-hole "ears" that the height adjustment mechanism latches onto, to create the space needed to mount the seats in their lowest position. Your mileage may vary; depending on your length you may want the seats higher.

Works perfectly, about 10 to 15 minutes of work per seat, no additional parts needed.
