Hello
Does anyone know why its difficult to get my car into first gear when the car is at a complete stop? I have to put it in second before I can get it in first. A manual 4spd with O/D.

I had what sounds like the same problem in a 1974 145,
except that getting into reverse was also tough.
A new pilot bearing completely solved it. It looks like
the same pilot bearing is used in all 1959-1995 4 cyl.
