I did one for Stan Chapman in Augusta a few weeks ago.
He did have the butterflies in the manifold. I didn't have
much to work with so I just pulled the butterflies out of
the shafts and left the shafts in, retained in place.
(If you take them out you gotta plug the holes.)

HS6s may be more readily available than HIF6s. Either
one will work OK. Watch out for worn throttle shafts, especially
in the HS6s.
I can give you a list of numbers (on the small aluminum tag)
of models that were used on Volvos if you need it.
Some of them only had 2 bolts holding the aircleaner on;
most had 3. Your best clue will be the 4-bolt mounting
and the 30 degree inclination to the horizontal. --
