That's what I assumed, but all I found in that location was the familiar fuel filter. And, yes, I traced the fuel line along the bottom of the car, but I was still unable to locate the pump. It is a little embarassing but I am coming up empty handed.

If you found the fuel filter under the car, the main fuel pump is a slightly smaller cylinder adjacent to it. Both are in a frame hanging down under the driver's seat (in left hand drive US models).

Non-turbo, ignition coil integral with the aluminum heat sink thingy on driver's side inner fender (aluminum thingy is the ignition amplifier/power stage) ==Regina/Rex fuel ignition. On 1990-1994 700/900 models with this fuel system the fuel pump is in tank. It is hung on the sending unit just like the previous in-tank pumps that were only pre-pumps.
