The fan on that will after-run one day when the conditions are met. IF the engine load exceeds a certain value in the three mintes prior to shutdown it will after-run. If the engine temp at shutdown is high it will after-run. If you use A/c the fans running to satisfy the A/C pressure limits will more than keep the engine temp level in range so the fan may not after-run much in hot weather when you use A/C.
In the earlier days of electric fans many cars had direct battery fed fans with radiator or rad. hose mounted thermostatic switches. These models would run fan until the water temp dropped enough for the temp switch to go open. This was a good idea on carburetted cars. Fuel injected models are not so easily prone to vapor lock so the after-run need is much lower now.
