The ignition test point is next to air cleaner on left inner fender. It is a yellow/red wire.
A voltmeter connected between 12V and the test lead will give pulses from this test point. I don't recall all the codes but 4 flashes is a fault with knock sensor or its wiring.

Appreciate the answer. Will be looking at voltages/codes at this point.
Anyone know more about this test point and how it is used? Does it indicate stored codes or just current status. Does Bentley discuss?

The codes are only active codes. The codes are not stored. You need to drive car at several speeds and loads and then read codes w/o engine shutdown.
