I've heard of a few different "se"s. One was a station wagon in '81, looked like a Turbo wagon without the turbocharger on it. I've seen 2 and they were the same; silver paint, blue cloth interior, automatic, Turbo wheels, and a front spoiler that was similar to the GL spoiler but the lip was longer so it hung down a bit further. I've also heard of the "flat-nose" Turbo ('83 GroupA homologation special) referred to as an "se". I guess it all depends on the reason for the special edition. --

Robert is right about the SE - funny though, I've only seen WHITE ones! They came standard with the 14x6 cross-spoke wheels. The Classic was annother limited-production run in the final ('93) year, had some special interior trim, most sriking feature was probably the grille - the front face of the slats were the usual chrome, but insides were color-matched to the body. I saw one of these once, it had printing on the instrument panel blank under the small clock stating "240 Classic #x of x".

The models George was referring to are the '83 Flathood Turbo, a very limited (500) edition homologation special for the Group A cars that won the '85 European Touring Car Championship. The 81-82 GLT non-turbo was a rare limited edition that was basically a Turbo without the turbo (sort of like the old 242GT, but available in 4 and 5 doors.) Another limited edition model was the '77 50'th anniversary edition 264/262. It had special striping, gold badges, and a dash plaque. And of course, we all know of the 262C Bertone... --

Jason, you're almost right about the GLT. The GLT actually was extremely common - in Canada. They didn't have Turbos until 1983. Think it had something to do with the B23E engine, which had more top end hp than the B21FT but less torque. Strangely enough, things seem to cancel out, since when I pulled the cat pipe plug on the '82 242, it performed exactly like the '81, except didn't have the explosion of power above 4K. Seemed a bit more linear in output. Of course that could've been because I was getting high on the exhaust fumes, since no exhaust was going out the tailpipe, instead it all came out the hole for the plug. The intercooled turbos regained the explosion of power. But even more explosive.
