Oh Yeh! I just remembered.

On the business end of the injectors, (on my '96 anyway, your's may be different) is a plastic "keeper" that helps to keep the O ring on the injector when it is pulled out of the manifold. With age they will be brittle and may crack or break off. If they do, the independent Bosch shop said there should be no harm in leaving them off.

The keeper is not supplied as a replacement part and only comes on new injectors. Just get the generic seal kit, use the o rings and throw the rest away. The next time you remove the injector the O ring will probably just stay in the manifold and you will have to pick it out. --
