I just took delivery of a 00 XC in G'borg. I noticed that there is no lock under the keyhole cover on the tail gait, just a hard black plactic plug. It is the midsummer holiday time and the some folks at the delivery center seemed preoccupied. They were very nice and told me that the key lock for the tail gate was part of the third seat option and not on my XC SE. I am not sure this is correct.

They folks at TDS were great at answering questions reagrding paperwork, shipping directions, they even had a driver at the airport to meet me and take me to my hotel. But technical questions, well the comunication seemed to drop off.

Is this car supposed to have a key lock in the tailgate?
