Canadian DRL Conversion[V70/99] posted by Rodger on

To defeat the DRL on a Canadian 95-97 850 or 98-00 70 series:
1. Remove the headlight switch from dash by pushing out from rear with hand (access from panel under dash).
2. Take the cover off the back of switch.
3. Remove the plastic rod that runs though the switch to the front side.
4. Then manually position the selector on the back of the switch
to one of the other two positions.
5. Replace switch cover and re-install switch.
The switch is internally the same as the US switch, but they just
replaced the plastic rod with a screwdriver slot, with a plastic rod with a tab on it that locks it into place. They also removed a spring that goes over the rod.
