JoHanlon,
To adjust the service lamp interval you use DTM#5 (Data Test Mode 5).
Select DLC A terminal 7. Push button five times, briefly but firmly. When the LED comes on and stays on, you are now in DTM#5. Enter code, wait for LED to go off then come on again. It is ready for the second code and so forth. The codes are: 1-1-1 5,000km/2,500miles, 1-1-2 7,500/5,000, 1-1-3 10,000/7,500, 1-1-4 15,000/10,000, 1-1-5 20,000/12,500, 1-6-1 Fault.
I have a thought...the book does not mention this but... the last code 1-6-1 may be used for activating the service lamp and turning it on...I'm just guessing. Maybe this is the way to set the interval without waiting for the lamp to come on. In other words, you can activate the lamp using 1-6-1 and then proceed with the rest. Maybe someone else could clarify this....
Good Luck! --
