Anyone know the P/N for the OD relay for the AW71 tranny? I have a box of spares and may have one already. I just completed the mechanicals or swapping a ZF for AW but I wasn't able to pull the wiring harness or relay from the donor car for the tranny. I have a blank hole on my relay board for this part.

As far as I know Volvo used only two overdrive relays at least in the 80s.The orange one up to 84 and the white one the rest of the way.Sorry but I do not know the part #s.

The OD relay in my '83 240 is marked 004038-00 and 1307793, was manufactured by "Hella" and has five pins. The plastic enclosure, about 1" x 1" x 1-7/8" high, is orange.
The OD relay in my 89 240 is marked 004038-01 and appears identical to the '83 version except that the plastic cover is white, the "1307793" number is absent and the manufacturer is not identified.
These relays often suffer from cold solder joints and can be easily repaired.

The OD relay for the AW71 is white, part number 1347764.
