Intermittent loss of power[900/1993] posted by DW on

I have been regularly scanning the brickboard (including archives) for the last 9 months but see very little input regarding 960s. My '93 960 has been experiencing loss of power (the engine did not die) while driving. This is occurring with increasing frequency (one year, three months, one month). The check engine light comes on when this happens and the codes retrieved are 113 and 115. It runs fine after the engine is turned off and restarted immediately. I have brought it to an independant Volvo specialist twice but the problem did not present itself while there and they are stumped as well.
Items checked by specialist included condition of wiring harnesss, coolant temperature sensor, etc..
The car was involved in an accident recently and the problem seems to occur more frequently after the repairs but it did lose power once before the accident as well.
p.s. Can anyone out there confirm if the '93, 960 has an "injection amplifier" and if this could be a possible source of my problems?
Codes 113 and 115[900/1993] posted by Rich K. Fairfax, VA on

Code 113 is for injectors group one and the 115 is injectors group 2, between the two all injectors are covered as having a problem. The injectors have power all the time via the green wire on the connector, and the other wire is the ground which is received from the ECU when it is time for that injector to open. If you follow the green wires back into the wiring harness you will find a spot where they all have a UltaSonic weld. That welding point is a source of intermittent loss of power to the injectors. To get to the common point in the wiring harness you need to take the intake manifold off, remove all the gue around the weld and solder the joint for a better connection. If you would like a nice picture of what the weld looks like drop me an E-mail.
