Engine idles very rough w/ brake pedal firmly depressed[200/1993] posted by Hunter on

Does any one know why a 93 200 with the engine running, car stopped and the brake pedal is fully depressed, the engine idles very rough & hesitantly. It feels like it isn't getting enough fuel or there is a vacuum problem. The same thing happens while stopped if the brakes are pumped.
There is a vacuum line that says airbrake on it connected to the throttle body. This is a first for me.

That is the symptom of a ruptrured diaphragm or other failure causing a leak in your brake booster.
The hard lines used for evaporative canister are the same type as are used for air brakes on trucks. This type line is impervious to fuel and is good for relatively high temp. and is readily available.
