IRS bushings[700/1989] posted by Jeff Wickersham on

What is the lifespan of the bushings used on the independent rear suspension of my 760 turbo sedan? Should I worry about them before I do anything else to increase performance on my car? The rear end seems loose, but it may be due to a bad center driveshaft bearing. I don't know. Anyone else deal with lately? During hard acceleration it seems like the back end shifts and causes the car to drive crooked down the road. Thoughts accepted.

The only bushing to worry about on multi-link I is the upper diff case bushing. This one takes the torque loading on take off and is prone to crack up and give you quiver on take off or up hills at low speeds.
