Scott,
As you found out, their is no traditional speedo cable! The speedometer receives speed information from the TCM (Transmission Control Module) which in turn receives information via a sensor on the gearbox. Their are a number of reasons for a faulty speedometer...sensor faulty, open-circuit in signal lead, or faulty ground. To trouble shoot, you have to start with the sensor at the transmission and check for 1820ohms resistance. If you have that, you have a faulty speedo. If the ground lead is OK you should have 0 resistance...to check the signal lead you have to remove the connector at the dashboard and look for 1820ohms...if incorrect you have a open-circuit or poor contact...:( --
