Knock sensor on '84?[200/84] posted by Hank Auderer on

Cousins:

Does my '84 245 w/B23F & LH 2.0 have a knock sensor? There are three sensors under the intake manifold - one I know is the temp sensor for the fuel injection system, one is a temp sensor for the dash guage. What's the other one? --

The knock sensor is on block between #2 and #3 cylinders.
The knock sensor on the Chrysler ignition 240's that have knock retard (83-88 models) is a one wire sensor that scrwws directly into block and looks just like an oil pressure switch. It has a brown wire on it.
The more sophisticated knock sensor on Bosch ignition models has a bolt through it.
