Look out fer them war terminal plars!![200/80] posted by George Downs on

Susan was here when I got home for lunch today. Seems that the main
power wire (not the battery cable but the other wire that comes off
the battery with it) on her 240 had lost its terminal where it joins
the rest of the electrical system. So I found a terminal and we were
putting it on the wire, which is pretty big and requires a LOT of
squeeze on the crimping pliers. Unfortunately I had the ball of my
left ring finger in between the stripper section when it slipped off.
Fortunately my hand was pretty cold at the time. No pinching, just a couple cuts and no tissue loss. (Plenty of blood, though!)
May keep my left hand out of dishwater for a couple days.
So when you are doing electrical repairs, especially with the
WRONG hand, watch where your fingers are. Might save you a surprise!
