As of LATE MY1999 the S70s are ASSEMBLED in Ghent, Belgium.

Before, some were assembled in Ghent and some in the main plant of Torslanda, Sweden (Goteborg).

Check the serial number; the number AFTER the letter that signifies the model year (the EIGHTH character FROM THE END) will "tell" you where the car was made. If the number is 1 then the car was made in Torslanda, Sweden. If it is 2 then it was made in Ghent, Belgium. If it is 3 (I kinda doubt it) then it was assembled in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
