Yep. That's the condenser.

Well, yes. But somewhere in there Volvo used a radiator with plastic end tanks glued to metal tubes 'n fins. They're famous for leaking, and in particular for the plastic "necks" snapping off the end tank if you look at them funny.

"...the Nissen advice..."

Good. An all metal radiator, and also an extra row of tubes -- additional cooling.
