Mullick,
You may or maynot be aware of the self-diagnostic facility in your new purchase. Under your hood, in front of the ECM Box and next to the wash reservoir are two DLCs (Data Link Connectors). When a fault accures, a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is stored in the ECM. To read the codes you plug the available lead found attached to Box A into any of the appropriate ports. By pressing the button on 'Box A once, codes can be read. I'm not going to get into it, but search the archives and you'll find "how-to" advice...this is usually a good place to start (reading codes)...Maybe you know all this already, if you don't, a word of caution. The same facility also allows you to input codes, turning off the service light as an example. Careless inputting can mess up a lot of things! --
