Martin,
The oil sensor is located in a hole on the long front side of the sump.
Remove splashguard from underneath the engine, and undo the connector.
The sensor is removed by two screws (easy)...before purchasing a new sensor, why not try cleaning and re-seating the connector, maybe it's nothing more than a bad ground/connection... --
