the radio in my 1990 760 is in "off" mode
i have the code, but can't get it in "code"
mode to accept it. what should i do?

Leave key in accessory position (first position where the radio is on but the full set of warning lights aren't) for two hours with radio on so that the "off" is displayed. This will allow it to receive code again. If you have code how did you get it to lock you out?
