On the right side under hood below the balck plastic cowl cover.
You will need to disconnect the large drain hose and then take out the center and two right torx screws that hold panel. You can then lift it up enough to get filter out. The filter has a catch that you depress in the front in order to release it for removal. Get the new one and you will see the catch and the locating tabs that go to the rear. I changed one on a neighbor's car a few weeks back. It's scary what gets on one of those.
