87 - 88 240 Injector compatilbility[200/1987] posted by Michael Krutolow on

I have noticed that Volvo lists 2 different part numbers for the 87 injectors for the B230 in the 240..A switch was made mid year..and ran thru the 88 model year..

My question is, I pulled 4 injectors off of an 88 and since the part numbers are different from my 87, are the interchangible??

Thanks in advance

I recall that the injectors on 83-89 (maybe even up to 91) being the same. The injector spec is 16 ohms at 20 C (68F) for all these with the volume being 185cc/min.
The odd injectors are the turbo and 16 valve versions. The turbo has 300cc/min and 2 ohms, the 16 valve 215cc/min and 16 ohms.
The bendix system injectors are 14 ohms and 170cc/min.
The injectors on later 4 cylinder B230 non-turbo Bosch have a difference on the top in the way the retainer clip holds them to the rail.
