Re: Need Help finding Memory line on Radio[850/1994] posted by Erick Kobres on

There are two unswitched Red/Black Stripe wires feeding into the back of the stereo. (These wires terminate to the same block which is fed from a thicker wire coming from the fuse box [fed by fuse #6 if I'm reading this right.] There are two to meet the current requirements of the radio.) The switched lead to the head unit should be Yellow/Violet striped.

If you are installing the CD Changer in the back, look for a Green/Red striped wire coming from the vicinity of the Power Antenna. This is the power lead used by the Volvo CD Changer. In the S70, the power is also shared by the antenna, in the V70 it only feeds the CD Changer. (Fed by Fuse #7 if I'm reading this right.) Also, if you fish around, you should find a DIN connector that matches the CD Changer connector on the back of the head unit.
