Reseting the SRL (service reminder light)
1993 to 1995 can be cleared with the "A" diagnostic connector, next to the wiper fluid fill. Remove the cap and put the jumper into slot #7. Punch in the following numbers 4-1-5-1 (Four Shots Of 151 Rum) First push the little black button four times and then wait for the Red LED to turn red, then punch the button once, wait for a red light, then punch the button five times, wait, punch once, the light should flicker, some times it's hard to tell it's flickering, oh ya the key has to be in position II.
1996 to 1998 will require a special tool from Volvo, or other aftermarket support facilities, IPD, Kent-Moore etc.
1999 on can be done by putting the key in position I, push and hold in the trip odometer reset button, (still holding) move the key to position II, wait until you see the service light flashing, release the odometer reset button.
