850 rear main seal leaks[V70/98] posted by Phil on

Hi all!

Anyone who is having a rear main seal oil leak problem should

check the breather system(flame trap)We repair Volvo's in the

Toronto area and hear about this problem quite often lately.

What we are noticing is cars being serviced are often not properly

inspected and these VERY important breathers are getting clogged

up.The flame trap is located in the holder on the side of the

bellows going into the throttle housing.I hope this can save you

some money!

Happy motoring!!!

Phil
