My experience comes from working on my '92 245, but...

Changing an Air Mass Meter takes 10 minutes, or less.
- Unplug the wiring harness
- Loosen the clamps holding the air ducts on either end
- Slide the right (towards firewall) flexible air duct off the AMM
- Take out the bolt (10 mm) holding the AMM to the body
- slide the AMM from the rigid (left) air duct

Reverse the procedures for installation --
