Yep! Youve found the one big 'gotcha' in the whole job...

When I first tried it, I bloodied my fingers by first inserting one end, then the other with the bottom (flat part) of the spring in place...Wrong!!!

The tip I received to make the whole job easy is to first insert one side in the whole, just enough to hold the end...Then, insert just the tip of the other end, again enough just to hold it.....Then, and Only Then, take a screw driver blade, and use it as a prise bar to lever the bottom (flat part) of the spring down into its resting place at the bottom of the caliper....You'll be pleasantly surprised how easy this becomes.....And, you'll thank me for the tip! I know I did with the person that tipped me...Good luck, and let us know! --
