Does iPd charge you too much for parts you can get elsewhere?[200/1988] posted by Huang on

I have noticed that many people here on the Board like to purchase parts from iPd, but it seems like iPd charges way too much for things that you can easily order from other places. For example, the new Magnecor spark plug wires, you can order them from any other perforomance accessory shops for at least $40 off iPd's $237.10. I know many other performance parts for Volvo can't be find in other tuners, but i'm pretty sure if there is enough demand, we can request places like Neuspeed/H&R to make suspension kits and strut bars from Volvo cars. For things like exhaust system, I doubt other companies' turbo exhaust would perform that much worse than iPd's. As for Motronic unit,tho...I have not found any other company that can offer cheaper price. Well, it's just a thought, maybe iPd's spark plug wires are different from others, and their mufflers are designed just for Volvo cars and out perform other brands and still have low noise level like they promised.

I would just like to know what are the experiences others have with iPd before i spend thousands when i can just buy the same or similar products from others. Thank you for you kind help.

Huang
