No No No....take it easy....youre making it tougher than it really is.....The fly lead is ATTACHED to the DLC...The probe stores in the cover of A ( there's an A box and a B box) . I've used A for almost everything, except just now, I have a fault (blinking AC and REC bulbs) simultaneously, as you can see in my post. To diagnose this one, you have to plug the fly lead into hole 1 in the B box, press the button for 1 sec, and read the LED...In this case, it put out a 4 - 1 - 4, which translates to a seized driver side interior sensor fan! It should be under warranty, but when it comes off, it'll be real nice to know some of these sensors, fans, or other faulty electronice I can replace myself. And, its nice to know the problem before the dealer does! Kind of gives you piece of mind...good luck. --
