Anything you can do to stiffen up the front end will help, but a good transverse brace will work wonders. I managed to get a SAM brace which is a repro of the Group A piece and it literally transformed the car. It is designed to fit nicely in the turbo so I had to slightly relocate the coolant overflow bottle on my non turbo car.
