After not being able to get my local dealer to sell me the timing belt tool (P/N 5284) for less than $75 plus tax, while folks in other cities were getting it for under $40, I finally uncovered an original vendor: Kent-Moore Tools in Minnesota (800-328-6657). You can buy one for $33 plus freight with a credit card. They are a specialty tool maker for all different autos and equipment types. The fellow I talked to said that most Volvo tools are NOT available for sale to non-dealers, but this one is. So, if you need another tool and cannot find a reasonable price, these guys could be a good source. They do not have a Volvo tool catalog though.
