So im into this project for close to 300$ now and still have the problem.

Symptoms

Noise from fuel pump,,,replaced last week and as loud as the last one

replaced the intank pump and tested it to prove its working

fuel pump gets VERY hot within 2-3 minutes of running and the car runs rich

pulled return hose off pressure regulator and its dry as bone,,also blowing into it allows me to here bubbles in the tank

cleaned and reseated all injectors,,they r working fine.

i am about to go buy a pressure regulator this afternoon if i dont get another suggestion

thanks

bob

So I'm back.....Couldn't stay away. The noise from the fuel pump probably sounds like it"s winding up. It's dead heading. The RELIEF valve then opens, and the pump by-passes. Order/buy a 3517102.......$46.79. It is the fuel pressure regulator. --
