Hi guys & gals my 240 turbo has a problem with my voltage guage
when i put on my turn signal me voltage meter goes from left to rite just as the lights blink has this ever happen to anyone...& what could cause this problem..??
Please help if u all can thanks in advance

The scenaruo you detailed is normal as it shows the load placed on the system and the remaining capacity of the syetm. This is the function of this guage. In addition to looking cool, it serves to keep ypou aware of the output of the alternator, the drain placed on the system by ANY electrical device that is connected to the system.
Normal operating voltage is 13.8-14.4 volts, if/when you turn on the headlights, fan/AC, foglights, etc the output is displayed on the guage. It will also show you when the alternator is outputting more or less than normal due to bad brushes, loose belt, broken belt, excessive voltage due to a malfunctioning alternator, etc.
Maybe too many years of GM style "idiot lights" has lulled us into the idea that guages are for show! Not in my book...and not in my Volvo!
