Its nice tomeet someome who is so knowlegeable about gasoine and octane From having driven both ! Personally I aquired my knowlege from an assignment in the tetraethyl lead business during the lead phasedown period in the US, marketing TEL & MEL to the petroleum refining industry.

For all the misinformed who keep perpetuating all these myths about gasoline and octane there is a great 4 part faq available. This FAQ is posted monthly to the Usenet groups news.answers, rec.answers, and rec.autos.tech. The latest copy should be available by FTP from rtfm.mit.edu in the pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/rec/autos/tech directory, and also available on the WWW from sites that automatically convert those FAQs.

I have copies of it and will gladly e-mail it to any one who would like it.
So to answer your question - Yea, Topi I've got it.
