I had a similar experience with my '84 740T,in fact, I reused the original bushings and brackets until I could cut down the ipd's. The rear will be easy...unless... your shocks are original like mine were. The bolt that holds the bar in place also is the bottom shock mount. My shocks were never changed and the bolt was rust-welded in place. It took heat, air hammer and grinding to remove. But was it worth it? YES!!!
