How are Brembo rotors marked? code numbers?[850/1995] posted by Stoney on

I just got a pair of front vented discs for my 90 240 and the vendor "claims" they are Brembo but the box is plain jane white, english printing on the tape, all wrapping anti rust papers are english. No Brembo name anywhere

They claim Brembo is "stamped on the edge of the disc" but the only stampingis the following - KPM 1082 MIN THK 20 AMM

Are these Brembo or have I been "jobbed"?

Mine (front vented for the 262C)were in a red and white box that said Brembo. Also lots of Italian writing.....no "Brembo" marking on the discs themselves that I can remember. Nice rotors packaged with nice antioxidant paper. The rotors with the rebuilt calipers, AXIS/Repco pads, new master cylinder, stainless lines and new Dunlop tires was a VERY economical rebuild that stops like a cat on carpet.

Weird thing is when I ordered all 4 new rotors from Imparts, I did not order "Brembo"....just whatever brand they sold for the low price. They took forever to get to my house last summer, can you say: "UPS strike"....and in fact Imparts didn't even ship 'till after the strike. I was howling mad at them and yelled at several managers!!! (Maybe that's why I got Brembos??).

I purchased Brembo rotors for the front of my 87 760 turbo. They came in boxes clearly marked as Brembo.

But I'm not happy with them as both have warped and I've had them turned. My original volvo rotors lasted about 240,000 km using volvo pads, (which I'm told are relatively soft).
