Volvo owner transferred to Dallas area. Any suggestions on where to find reputable/reasonable service for a 1986 740 Turbo, 176,000 miles.

Don't take it to the Texaco down the street on the corner ;)

You could search the archives for listings for shops in the Dallas area.

I heard of very reasonable shop in Bever Ceek Tx.

Good luck.

I've had very good luck with Point West Volvo over in Irving. They are a bit of a ride unless you live on the west side of Dallas, but worth the drive in my opinion. The provide free loaner cars if you call ahead and have been more than fair to me so far when servicing my wife's 850. We've only had it about 3 years, so all it has needed so far is regular 10K mile service trips and a couple of tweaks under warranty. If you prefer an independent, we used to have a
1975 164E which we would take to Mike Fisher's shop in downtown Dallas.
He's a good guy and quite reasonable. Unfortunately, the my son wrecked
the 164, so it's been quite a while since we've been to Mike's place.

One place to avoid at all cost (in my opinion) is Richardson Foreign Car
Service located on Central Expressway in Richardson.
