O.K., here's a simple question(hopefully).
Q: Why do my head light blades have a mind of their own? They will stop anywhere they want. Now they'r at a complete diagonal position and even if I try to lower them they won't go down. Why? Why? Why?

Yes, Han, its a real pain...I dont know why it happens, but early on, my right side blade would sometimes want to stop Beneath the 'detente' stop, and once, it got stuck there, and consequently, the motor burnt out! Of course, dealer replaced it under warranty...But srvce writer couldnt help himself and muttered that I must have broke it myself, although, that doesnt even seem logical, even for him! Since, I go to a new dealer for service, which has mostly been for IPD installations!

Funny he would suggest you broke it. This is common on the 960 also.

Han, the same thing happens on my '95 850T. The dealer replaced the motor on the driver side and the 45 degree parking has stopped. The blades will still come to rest under the stopper on occation. My dealer said that there is a "worm" gear that might have gone bad (lost a tooth) and that depending on that gears rotation the wiper blade could park at the 45 degree angle. Just try squriting your washer fluid again to see if the gear catches.

I'm taking my car to the dealer next week and I'll see what they say. Hopefully the same thing I'm hearing from you guys. Other wise I ain't goin' back there no mo'.
