This is the first post to the new forum.
Why AWD/FWD? Because these cars have much in common with each other and much less in common (mechanically) with RWD.
I think the AWD/FWD users and the RWD users will be happy with separate forums. This will permit more posts in either direction with a higher probability of the postings being pertinent to your interests.

Jarod I think it's a good idea. Although I own both types, and won't give my preferance if I have one, the 850 is my new baby and am always looking for info of any kind.
Just think of the fun I could have had if the Brickboard been around for the my other Volvos.
The type is disapearing beyond the edge of the screen.
Keep up the good stuff.

I think your right on the money, I just bought my first Volvo (84 245GLT) thanks to the advice to everyone one here. My mother has a 97 850 which is a great car, but your right, unless I'm looking for specific information for her about her car, I'm more interested in my 245. This is a great resource and you've done a supper job of development and maintenance of the board.
As I learn more about my car, I hope to contribute my knowledge.

Cool new format! However, I must admit I am glad I swam through the
list when all the RWD was mixed in with us. Taught me a little about
the volvo "culture". The brickboard has been a big help to me.
In keeping consistent with the new format, do you think the performance
"dream volvo" portion could also be broken up into separate sections
for RWD and FWD/AWD? Just a thought.
