The IPD bars will work and fit fine regardless of whether your car came with a rear bar originally. The difference between the sedan and wagon kits is that the wagon kits include the necesary brackets to support the rear bar since there is not one already there. Installation is easy.

I also cannot fathom why Volvo did not include rear sway bars on the wagons. It would seem that with the additional rear weight and load carrying capacity, they would need them even more than the sedans
