Dan.
Now that you have a new Air Mass Meter ... you should , if you haven't already check the pre-heater door in your air cleaner box. The thermostat often fails and as a result leaves the door open to the HOT air intake from the exhaust manifold. The door should be fully closed on the hot air side when outside air temp is over 60 degrees F. There is strong evidence that driving in warm weather with the door stuck open draws hot air across the AMM and will fry it in short order. New air box thermostats can be had from IPD for under 20 bucks and are easy to installation.
Just a word of warning to you and others who have replaced AMM s. or would like to aviod replacing them.
