Temp needle in red with a/c on[740-760/89] posted by Kevin Weilacher on

My 89 740 Turbo temp needle would creep to the red with the A/C on after about 10 minutes of driving. If I turned A/C off, needle would come back down. I have been driving without running the A/C lately and yesterday on a 40 minute highway trip the temp needle crept up to just below the red. When I got home I checked the fluid level and all was well, I let the car sit and idle for a good half hour and the temp needle was fine. I had read on one of the other postings here that there may be something going on between the temp needle and the fuel guage...my fuel guage hasn't worked quite right for a long time...any relation with these two..? Any hints on this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Kevin
