The lumbar knob has a center cap that pops off revealing a metal spring clip holding the cap on. The headrest button is deep in the seat back abour 4 inches below the headrest along the mounting posts. I've seen a few that had a brittle release that seemed to be frozen. Depending on how taught and tough the seat back material is it can be easy or require intense inward and downward pressure with your thumb to release the headrest. Have someone keep a little upward pull on the rest so when you hit the right spot, it will pop up.
