Odd dash warning light behavior...[240-260/1983] posted by Martin Miller on

This started 3 days ago just after I change my oil.
Normally when I start the car, all the dash warning lights come on and then go off. Now, when I start only the oil light comes on and when it goes off the 02 sensor, battery, parking brake and brake failure lights come on and stay on. They are more dim than normal and become very, very dim when accelerating and become most bright when the car is at idle.
Any idea as too what is wrong or how to fix??
Thanks,

Martin,
A similar problem occurred on my '82 240. The problem was the 61 wire was grounding out on the alternator itself. Once repaired, dash lights went out. Maybe you bumped into that wire when you removed the oil filter on the last oil change.
Best,
