On my '89 760 on a hard drive I filled up with gas and less than 10 miles later the mileage dropped from 24 to 10 mpg (I have an instaneous MPG meter) so I thought I had bad gas and a fouled injector. I limped into Amarillo and found a great mechanic that listed to my sad tail and ingnored all my suggestions. He just soldered the injector ground wires to their lugs, cleaned and tightened the bolts holding then wires to the intake manifold and said "Lets go for a drive". It drove perfectly and we had no problem on the rest of the trip.
With one injector not firing the Oxygen sensor called for more fuel but could never get rid of the unused oxygen.
