Yes: 240 and 740 wheels fit on 140's

Yes, later Volvo wheels fit but watch your fender clearances if you get to playing with newer wheels & wide/low profile tires. The rear lip sometimes must be bent in with wider choices. There's an old trick with about a 1" diameter piece of cast iron pipe. Place the pipe against the tire and have someone slowly drive the car so the pipe moves between the tire and the lip - it bends in the inner edge of the wheel well lip for clearance. There may be some chipping but it's out of sight under the edge and any spray paint would seal it up.
