No the light bulbs are not under warranty even when they burn out in the first year. At first I thought the LCD was bad -- GREAT, Because that is under warranty. But after speaking to the dealer guys they said it was just a light bulb. I didn't get it replaced at that time. About two months later my trip computer intermittantly would shut off. Since that is covered under warranty, they replaced the computer and bulbs. On my car (95 855T5R) I had to replace the trip computer twice -- and even with the multiple replacements I still had two bulbs burn out. On my wife's car (94 854T) we had to replace the bulbs on three times. Speaking of bulbs, I also have to replace the bulb in the arm rest on both cars!
